Obituary: Russell Aukai Logan

Russell Aukai Logan

1950 ~ 2007

Russell Aukai Logan, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 3, 2007.

He was born in Laie, Hawaii on June 13, 1950 to Jubilee Aukai and Alice Logan. Russ attended Kamehameha School and Brigham Young University-Hawaii where he met and later married Joji Grace Magapan in the Laie, Hawaii

Temple. He went on to attend Brigham Young University-Provo where he graduated Cum Laude with a Masters of Science in Business

Education and Administration

Management.

Russ served honorably in the San Diego, California-Yuma, Arizona mission. He was a dedicated and faithful member of The Church of

Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a longtime member of the Orem 1st Ward. Russ loved the Lord and used his many talents to serve in numerous church callings. Most recently, Russ energetically immersed himself in service as a high counselor in the BYU 2nd Stake, serving in the BYU 154th Ward.

Russ was an extraordinary musician and gifted guitarist. He loved his family and BYU football. His smile and talents will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Joji, daughters Nina (Cooper) and Sara, son Daniel, sister May (Rick) and brother Lono (Anna). He was preceded in death by his father and

mother.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Orem, Utah Stake Center (80 South 280 East). Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. -12:45 p.m. Interment at the Laie Cemetery in Laie, Hawaii. Condolences may be sent to the family at
