Obituary: Helen Adams Edwards

Helen Adams Edwards 1916 ~ 2007 Helen Adams Edwards, 91, died Nov. 5, 2007, in Salt Lake City. She was born on July 19, 1916 in Oakley, Idaho to Rome and Sarah Adams. The eldest of seven children, her parents passed away when she was 14 years old. She was given the immense responsibility of caring for her younger brother and four younger sisters. Upon graduating high school, she joyfully served an LDS mission in the Central States. She then married Luther Allred Edwards in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on July 17, 1942. Helen gladly served her church and community, including several years as Relief Society president and temple worker. Helen is survived by her sister, Martha Muir and three children: Joan, Hal (Lynne), and Rich "Fast Eddie", as well as five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by friends and family for her kindness and generosity as well as her sense of humor. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters, and her husband.

Viewing will be held at Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S., Salt Lake City on Thurs, Nov. 8, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at Ensign Peak Ward, 125 E. N. Sandrun, SLC on Fri, Nov. 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. Special Thanks to the staff of Federal Heights Rehab.
