Helen M. Olsen

1915 ~ 2007

Helen M. Olsen died on November 1, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 91. She was born December 6, 1915 in Nephi, Utah to Jay Morgan and Marie Winter. She married E. Shirl Olsen.

Helen was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was also the executive secretary to four administers of the Cottonwood Hospital. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, an avid bridge player, golfer and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her son, Douglas S. Olsen; daughters, Marianne Burns and Jill Hartley; brother, Jack A. Morgan; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Dennis and Max Morgan.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2007, 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood Eighth Ward Chapel 6301 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
