Obituary: Diana Jean Stewart

Diana Jean Stewart 1948 ~ 2007 Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed away November 1, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Diana was born November 27, 1948 in Vernal, Utah to Dailey and Bernice VanTassell. She was in the first graduating class at Kearns High School in 1967 where she met and married the love of her life, Richard Earl Stewart, Jr. They married April 6, 1968. Diana was loved by many and touched and held a special place in her heart for everyone she met. "Such a little body with such a big heart". She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Daralee Stewart (Shannon McBride); son, Richard D. Stewart (Heather Mayor); grandson, Aydan James Stewart; brothers, Larry (Cecelia) VanTassell, Milton (Louis) VanTassell, Weldon (Iona) VanTassell, Herb (Lisa) Stewart, Jim (TerryLynn) Stewart, Jack Stewart; sisters, Karma Roberts, Dixie (Gary) Monteer. Preceded in death by parents, Dailey and Bernice VanTassel and Dick and Jane Stewart; sisters: Eva Goings, Vella Barney; brothers: Baby VanTassell, Al Roberts, Bob Stewart. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held, 9-10:45 a.m., prior to services. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, 12:00 noon at the Rock Point Cemetery, Vernal, Utah. "Mom, we will miss you and we love you so much!"
