Don Blair Olson "The Duke" Our loving son, brother and uncle returned home to his Heavenly Father May 4, 2007. Blair was born November 6, 1952 in Murray, Utah to Mack D. and Dona Vee Olson. When he was 13 years old he was in a hunting accident that left him with a lifetime full of physical and mental challenges. He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, fishing, wildlife and was an avid fan of his brothers and nephews baseball games. John Wayne movies put a smile on his face. He was a dedicated employee for the sheltered workshops and took much pride in his work. Although Blair's health was very debilitating he was always more concerned for the well being of his siblings, parents and those who came in contact with him. He was known for his strong hands and great massages. He was very fortunate to have wonderful parents who attended to his every last need. His mother was his dedicated angel and never left his side. Although his accident was unfortunate he was a very lucky young man to be so loved and so well taken care of. Blair you will truly be missed but knowing that you are now free of your disabilities is a comfort to your family. We love you! Survived by his parents; siblings, Lynne (Scott) Carlsen, Blaine (Karalee), Terry (Mohsen), Arfai, Leif (Kym); many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Ann Olson Butler. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rocky Mountain Hospice Care. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.), where friends and family may call Monday, May 7, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
