Linda Lou Maynard Stewart 1942 ~ 2007 Linda Lou Maynard Stewart, born, November 22, 1942 in Hammond, Indiana. Her parents are Carrie Elizabeth (Betty) and Jim Maynard. She married Allen Burt Stewart, October 25, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on January 22, 2005. Linda returned home to her Father in Heaven on Monday, March 19, 2007 in the arms of her loving husband and eternal companion, Allen, and surrounded by her loving family after a long and valiant five year battle with cancer. She fought a great fight and gave her all. She died the way she lived, living life to the fullest. She died with dignity, grace, and courage. Linda loved to golf, hunt, fish, boat, go camping, and tie flies for fishing. Linda and Allen found peace, comfort and happiness in their second home in Manila, Utah, where they had family gatherings and where many happy memories were made. Linda worked for National and Fairchild Semi-Conductor for 28 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Allen, of Riverton, Utah; her mother Betty Maynard Silcox, also of Riverton; her children Rickey (Mary) Stewart, Carrie (Kelly) Bowles, Brad (Mary Kaye) Stewart. The joys of her life, her grand-children, Chasity, Misty, Kacey, Amberly, Kelsie and Dustin, and great-grandchildren Jordan and Jayden; brother, Raymond (Wendy) Maynard. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Maynard. We would like to thank Dr. Patricia Legant, Sharon and her office staff for their wonderful care and love they showed to Linda. Also our thanks to Cottonwood Hospital- the 5th Floor and IV Therapy staff members. Camille and other staff members at Community Nursing for their wonderful care and assistance they gave to Linda. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society in honor of Linda. Funeral Services will be held Sat. at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverton 1st Ward, 12950 So. 1300 W. Riverton. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. and Saturday one hour prior at the church. Interment Riverton Cemetery.
