Betty Ann Earl 1932 ~ 2007 After a valiant battle fighting the effects of several strokes, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and best friend departed to her heavenly home Friday, January 12, 2007. Although her last stroke took her speech, and the strength of her earthly body, she spoke volumes with her effervescent smile, gentle gaze and a touch only a loving mother can deliver with such grace and warmth. Betty was born November 15, 1932. She was a master hairdresser at Makeoff's in downtown Salt Lake City for many years. She married George Bacca. After several years they divorced. She then remarried W. Parker Earl, whom she also divorced. She quipped once that she "tried marriage twice and wasn't very good at it either time." However, she would often comment that the best assets she took from both marriages were her children, Lisa Ann Bacca Grow and Brandon Parker Earl. She was always there for both of us with a willing heart and hands. Her greatest joy in life was her role as grandmother and grandma great. She will finally be able to dance at all of the weddings of her beloved angels, Xela Dawn Grow Eaton, Haley Ann Grow, Ariana Taylor Grow, Madison Carly Grow, Colby Earl, Connor Earl, Chandler Earl, and Alexandra Earl. Her newest cherubs, Leilani Lilo Kai Martinez, Ava Hadley Mei Martinez, Morgan Eaton, Chloe Eaton and Ben Eaton will surely marvel at the legacy grandma great has left. Grandma Betty was a superb seamstress and artiste. Halloween was always a pageantry of Grandma's handiwork and her house decorated with her amazing oil paintings. Betty was active in the LDS church and served diligently in the Monument Park 8th Ward in the primary program and in the stake primary presidency. While teaching the Old Testament she literally "built" a scale model of Solomon's Temple much to the amazement of children and teachers alike. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Hadley; and her favorite dog, Rosie. She is survived by her mother, Wilma Gladys Hadley; her brothers, Harry and Kenneth Hadley; and her sisters, Phyllis Harris and Christy Brown. The other loves in her life she leaves behind are her son-in-law, John D. Grow; her daughter-in-law, Andrea Earl; and newest addition Paul Eaton. A special thank you to Charlene and Ruth whom she loved with all her heart. Heaven will surely be a livelier place now that Betty has joined the ranks of so many who have gone before her. We love you! Dance mom. Love, live and laugh. Friends and family may call Monday, January 15, 2007, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.), Salt Lake City, Utah and again one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 16, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Foothill 3rd Ward, 1794 South Texas Street, (approximately 2396 East), Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment to follow services at Mountain View Memorial Park.
