Olive Hall Fifield 1913 ~ 2006 Olive Hall Fifield passed away peacefully on August 10, 2006 after a wonderful 92 years of life. She was born in Garland, Utah to Warren Elmer Hall and Mary Olive Haws. She married Melvin Joseph Fifield on April 12, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Olive was the second of six children and family meant everything to her. She spent her life in the Bear River Valley. She grew up playing the saxophone in the Hall family band. She later formed her own band and played the piano for dances throughout Northern Utah. She is an incredible pianist and loves all types of music. Mom was a faithful member of the LDS church and held many callings. She used her beautiful talent of music and played for hundreds of functions. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for 35 years, and had a great pride for our military and country. Mom loved to be with her family and we will miss all the fun camping trips and reunions. She lived a complete and beautiful life. She was our family's rock. We will miss you mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and teacher. She is survived by her five children Ted (Brenda) Fifield, Perry Fifield, Helen (Kirk) Westlund, DeeEll (Cheryl) Fifield, Retta (Ron) Jaques, and her sisters Vica (Fred) Germer, and Myrtle (Elvin) Taysom. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death be her husband Melvin, and three brothers Elmer Hall, (Bus) Dee Hall, and Dean Hall. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield Stake Center, 935 South State. Friends may call Sunday, August 13th from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
