GUNMAN ROBS WOMAN AT CROSSROADS MALL

A gunman stole three business checks and a purse from a woman expecting to make a bank deposit in Crossroads Mall.

The woman, an employee of a metals company, had just parked her car and opened the door about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man pointed a small automatic pistol at her and demanded the bank bag and her purse, according to a police report.
