Obituary: Jasmine Parry Ballard

Jasmine Parry Ballard 1908 ~ 2006 Jasmine Parry Ballard passed away April 24, 2006 incident to old age. Her life began in Ellsinore, Utah where she was born to John M. Parry and Emma Lenora Jacob June 19, 1908. She attended the BYU Academy and graduated from the University of Utah. After teaching school for a year, she married Louis McNeil Ballard (deceased). They had two children, Marilyn Palmer (deceased) and Bruce McNeil Ballard of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her son, son-in-law, Edward Dalton Palmer of Redlands, California; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Covey Ballard. She has 13 grandchildren (one deceased), 55 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She served as Relief Society president in the old Parley's Ward in Salt Lake City and as stake Relief Society president in the Pasadena California Stake under the late President Howard W. Hunter. She served five missions for the Mormon Church, twice in England and once in South Africa, New Zealand and Washington D.C. For years she served in the Los Angeles Temple. Her services will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m. in the LDS chapel at 640 S. Center St., Redlands, California. Graveside services will be at Live Oak Cemetery in Monrovia, California, Saturday, April 29 at 3 p.m.
