Edith Beecher Johnson 1922 ~ 2006 Edith Beecher Johnson beloved wife, mother, aunt and friend returned home April 19, 2006. She was born January 16, 1922 in Elba, Idaho to Elihu and Ella Hoagland Beecher. She married Alfred Jay Johnson, May 1, 1948 in Salt Lake City. The marriage; later solemnized in the Salt lake Temple. They had two daughters Julie and Janet. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many positions and was an example of true Christ like service. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Julie (Steve) Nelson and Janet Johnson of Salt Lake City and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Orvil, Calvin, Rex and Dick Beecher and her sister Agnes Mortensen. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View 11th ward chapel located at 4101 S. 1925 E. The family will receive friends at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Sunday, April 23, 2006 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00-10:45 at the church prior to services. Burial at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The family expresses appreciation to the staff of Care Source for their loving care of Edith.
