PRINCIPAL AT CHERRY HILL ANNOUNCES HIS RETIREMENT

Darrell Jensen, principal at Cherry Hill Elementary, has announced he will retire at the end of this school year.

Jensen has been an educator with the Alpine School District for 33 years. He has been the principal of five schools in the district: Cedar Valley, Westmore, Spencer, Vineyard and Cherry Hill.Jensen earned a master's degree in educational administration from Brigham Young University. He taught school at Greenwood Elementary in American Fork, Spencer and Scera Park in Orem and at Cedar Valley.

He has served as president of the Alpine Elementary Principal's Association three times, chairman of the Mountain View Area Cluster Committee, district representative of the Utah Elementary Principals Association, secretary-treasurer of the Alpine Education Association and chairman of the Alpine School District Social Studies Committee.
