Heikki Erik Ingstrom Viineinen Juoksu Heikki Erik Ingstrom passed away on December 24, 2005. He was laid to rest in Tucson, Arizona on January 5, 2006. Heikki was born to Erik and Senja Ingstrom on January 18, 1958 in Riihimaki, Finland. He moved to Utah at age eight with his mother and his sister. He was a graduate of East High School and the University of Utah. In his youth, Heikki enjoyed playing all sports, especially baseball and basketball. He was also an avid long-distance runner. He ran many marathons and eventually enjoyed competing in 100-mile races. He finished the Wasatch Front 100-Mile Endurance Race seven times, and won the race in 1994. Heikki spent most of his career working with children, becoming a great mentor to many youth. He had much compassion for children and animals. Heikki was well known and loved by many, and he will be missed by his family and friends. A memorial will be held in Heikki's honor on Saturday, January 21 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. in the LDS Stake Center at 589 18th Avenue.
