Obituary: Grant T. Hansen

Grant Hansen, age 84, passed away Nov. 1, 2003, after a short illness.

Born April 15, 1919 in West Jordan, Utah to James C. and Melinda Jane Parker Hansen. He served with the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific during World War II, and was honorably discharged in October 1945. He retired from Salt Lake County Highway Department in 1983.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff in the SICU at St. Mark's Hospital for their compassion and excellent care, as well as Michael and Joyce with Home Option Senior Care for their assistance and kindness.

He is survived by his wife, Rayda L. Hansen; daughters, Patsy and Lynda; and son, Clint; granddaughter, Shannell; and great-granddaughter, Zara.

On behalf of Grant, his family wishes to express appreciation to his sister and brother-in-law, Myra and Tom Taylor, and his sister, Helen Holt for the many outings and time they spent with him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, from 1-3 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale. It was his wish to be cremated.
