1931 ~ 2003
On a beautiful fall evening, Oct. 22, 2003, surrounded by family and friends, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, teacher, and friend, Stephen Grant Healey left this earthly existence to be welcomed into the loving arms of our Heavenly
Father.
Stephen was born Dec. 23, 1931 in Alpine, Utah to Richard Winn and Margretta Ann Stephens Healey. He married Louise Frandsen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1959. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, and also honorably served a LDS mission in Australia. Steve graduated from BYU and was a well-loved English teacher in Heber for two years and then at Brockbank Jr. High for 34 years. After retiring, he served as a veil worker in the Jordan River Temple for five years.
Survived by his wife of 45 years, Louise; five children, Susan (Glade) Burch, Michelle Jentzsch, Stephen Theren Healey, Bruce Grant (Kristy) Healey, and James Weldon Healey; brothers and sisters, Shirley Cowser, Valoy Stagg, Bob Healey, David Healey, Dick Healey, and Kay Howell; and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Reese; and sisters, Elaine and Carol.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 at the Hunter East Stake Center, 5000 Pavant Ave. (3710 S.). Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, and Monday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Alpine Cemetery 2 p.m.
