Byron Dale Hobbs Jr. (B.J.), age 21, Lehi, Utah passed away October 1, 2003, in Lehi after a scuba diving accident.
He was born April 16, 1982, in Murray, UT the son of Byron Dale and Darlene Tripp Hobbs. He and his brother, Ashton, followed in the footsteps of their dad and everything was possible because of their mother. He had great parents, and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
B.J. loved the outdoors, wakeboarding, boating, rock climbing, snow skiing, diggin' in his Suzuki, camping, scuba diving, flying, hunting, etc. He also loved woodworking, fixing things, and he spent many hours working on his Suzuki. He was very creative and inventive. He was a hard worker and helped others. He was a very loving, honest, and thoughtful person. He was a great friend and hugged everyone. B.J. and Ashton were not just brothers, they were best friends and spent a lot of time with each other, they would have wanted to go no other way but together.
Survived by his parents, Lehi; grandparents, Mark and Gert Tripp, David and Lettie Shelton, both of Wendover, UT; Hilton Hobbs, TX; great-grandparents, Bob and Dot Hobbs, Montello, NV; brother, Tyler Dale Hobbs, Lehi; sisters, Shawna (Will) Robertson, Shannon Dawn Hobbs, both of Lehi; nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Colby Robertson, Teagan B. Hobbs; fiance', Jamie Phippen; and close friend, Kristy Beal.
Services Wed. Oct 8, 2003, 11 a.m. Lehi Utah Stake Center, 200 N. Center, Lehi. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and Wed. at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
