Ashton D. Hobbs, age 23, Lehi, Utah, passed away October 1, 2003, in Lehi, after a scuba diving accident.
He was born June 11, 1980, in Murray, UT the son of Byron Dale and Darlene Tripp Hobbs. He married Tami Beal Oct 3, 2002 in Alpine, UT.
Ashton had a love of the outdoors and adventure. He lived by the motto "Do It." He loved soccer, snow skiing, wakeboarding, rock climbing, flying, scuba diving, street bikes, hunting, and camping. He was a great and loyal friend who was caring and respectful. He was very realistic and worked hard and played hard.
He and his brother B.J. followed in the footsteps of their dad and everything was possible because of their mother. He had great parents. He was a great son, brother, uncle, friend, and a terrific husband and father. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by his wife, Tami, Lehi; son, Teagan B. Hobbs; parents, Lehi; grandparents, Mark and Gert Tripp, David and Lettie Shelton, both of Wendover, UT, Hilton Hobbs, TX; great-grandparents, Bob and Dot Hobbs, Montello, NV; brother, Tyler Dale Hobbs, Lehi; sisters, Shawna (Will) Robertson, Shannon Dawn Hobbs, both of Lehi; seven nieces and nephews; in-laws, Scott and Kathy Beal, Lehi, Jason and Niki Beal, Lehi, Jared and Ilene Beal, Salem, Kate Anderson, Lehi; sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Kristy Beal; and favorite dog companion, Soda. He is now reunited with his two best friends, Brennon Jones Tyson, Bradly Alan Savage; and never parted from his brother and best friend, B.J. Hobbs.
Services Wed. Oct 8, 2003, 11 a.m. Lehi Utah Stake Center, 200 N. Center, Lehi. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and Wed. at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
