1919 ~ 2003
Velma Taylor Carter Anderson, 83, passed away September 10, 2003 after a short illness.
Velma was born on October 26, 1919 in Provo, Utah, to Jesse Monroe Taylor and Elva Bigelow Taylor. She was later adopted by her step-father, Clyde Avor Carter. Velma married Robert LaMar Anderson on March 15, 1931.
Survived by her two sons, Robert (Christie) Anderson, Albuquerque, NM; and Thomas (Elizabeth) Anderson, West Jordan; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristine) Anderson, Denver, CO; Robert Anderson, Casper, WY; Bridget (McKay) Creviston, Albany, OR; Scott, Brazil, and James, Kellyn, and Paige, West Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Heather, Rebecca, Jonathan, Matthew, Denver, CO; Samuel, Ethan, Albany, OR. Velma also is survived by her siblings, Jesse (Paula) Carter, Sutter Creek, CA; Myrna Laird, Orem, UT; Carol (Steve) Rawlins, Cle Elum, WA; Don (Judy) Carter, Provo, UT. Preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Jones for his caring consideration of Mom, and the staff of Care Source Hospice for their wonderful care of Mom during her last days. Thanks Kevin and Mo.
Friends and family may call Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Welby Stake Center, 8841 South 4800 West, West Jordan. Graveside services will be held Monday, Sept. 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East. Arrangements by SereniCare, funeral directors.
