An interfaith conference on the American Family, "Standing Together, Standing Strong," will feature a member of the First Presidency and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Sept. 13 at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.
Sponsored by American Mothers Inc., the conference also includes as speakers Barbara B. Smith, former Relief Society general president; Steve Young of professional football fame and founder of the Forever Young Foundation that works to serve needy children; and Father Peter, director of Boys & Girls Town, who will be keynote speaker. Also performing will be the International Children's Choir and the Osmonds, Second Generation.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. until noon with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. The conference is open to everyone 16 years of age and older by ticket only. The tickets are free and may be obtained through the Conference Center ticket office at (801) 240-0080 or by registering online at www.lds.org and clicking on events.
