The first-ever ferragosto, "the feast that begins in August," takes place at Pioneer Park todayfrom 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It's a celebration of Italian culture in Utah, with food, art, photo exhibitions, opera singers, bocce games, Italian cars and scooters, and wine and cheese tasting. The opening procession will include Miss Ferragosto, Regena LaGuardia; Mr. Ferragosto, Michael Vincent Devin; and Dr. Giovanni G. Maschero, vice consul of Italy.
