Toddler dies in accidental drowning

SANPETE COUNTY — A 3-year-old boy died Friday in what the Sanpete County Sheriff's Office is calling an accidental drowning.

According to a statement released by Sheriff Kevin G. Holman, deputies responded to the drowning about 8:45 p.m. at the Yuma reservoir in the San Pitch Mountains. The boy was transported to Gunnison Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His name has not been released.
