"I took this scripture to mean that even though you are going through a bad time, you will still get divine guidance," Vance said. "Even though you may feel lost, God will whisper in your ear and tell you where to go and what to do. 'This is the way, walk ye in it.'"

6. Romans 8, particularly verses 28, 31, 32, 35 – 39.

"When I sat down and read, and I mean really read, Romans 8, I felt like I had the victory. …As Christians, we should be happy, faith-filled and not complaining because Jesus truly paid it all," Vance said.

"I took these scriptures to mean that whatever came or was thrown my way could not separate me from God and all of his goodness and the good things that he had planned for me. I just had to keep my eye and mind and heart on God, and I would feel and be all right," she concluded.
