Dallas earns 1st point of season with draw
TORONTO — Pablo Ricchetti scored in the 86th minute, and FC Dallas earned its first point of the season.
Dallas (0-3-1) came in as the only MLS team without a point this season and appeared headed for a fourth straight loss after Dwayne De Rosario scored on a header in the 17th minute for Toronto (1-1-2).
But Ricchetti knocked in Eric Avila's cross, denying Toronto rookie goaltender Stefan Frei his first MLS shutout.
Toronto has not won since an opening-week victory at Kansas City on March 21.
EARTHQUAKES 3, FIRE 3: At Santa Clara, Calif., Chris Rolfe scored in the 85th minute with San Jose down to 10 men to salvage a 3-3 tie for the Chicago Fire on Saturday.
Rolfe scored from 22 yards out as Chicago took advantage of the second yellow card on Earthquakes reserve Shea Salinas. Salinas came on in the second half and received cards in the 73rd and 81st minutes. The tie allowed the Fire (2-0-2) to remain unbeaten this season.
It was another disappointing outcome for San Jose (1-2-1), which was coming off a poor performance in Kansas City last week and couldn't hold on to a late lead Saturday.
Offseason acquisition Bobby Convey scored on his first official shot with the Earthquakes to put San Jose up 2-1 just before halftime, then drew a 75th-minute penalty kick that Arturo Alvarez converted into a go-ahead goal.
RED BULLS 0, DYNAMO 0: At Houston, New York rookie goalkeeper Alec Dufty made a late save on a header by Brian Ching to preserve a 0-0 tie in a rematch of year's Western Conference semifinals Saturday night.
Dufty's save in the 88th minute was one of several late chances for the Dynamo (0-2-2), and the Red Bulls (0-2-2) have now gone without a goal in three road games this season.
Seth Stammler and Jorge Rojas had shots on goal in the first half for New York, but couldn't get anything past goalkeeper Pat Onstad.
Dufty came off the bench in the seventh minute after starting keeper Danny Cepero left with a concussion after a head-to-head collision
RAPIDS 1, CREW 1: At Columbus, Ohio, Conor Casey scored in the 82nd minute, giving Colorado a point on the road while extending Columbus' winless start with a 1-1 tie Saturday night.
Casey's goal wiped out the advantage Guillermo Barros Schelotto's 12-yard strike gave the Crew in the 41st minute.
Pablo Mastroeni fed Casey from midfield before Casey barreled over defender Danny O'Rourke and beat goalkeeper William Hesmer with a left-footed shot that slipped inside the right post for the Rapids (2-1-1).
With the tie, the Crew (0-2-3) added to their league-record worst start to a season by a defending MLS Cup champion.
