Alfred Hitchcock's classic low-key mystery-thriller "To Catch a Thief" is gorgeously photographed on the French Riviera, a cat-burglar yarn bolstered by two of Hollywood's greatest stars — Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. (Besides new stuff, the previous disc's bonus features are all here, save one — the Peter Bogdanovich/Laurent Bouzereau audio commentary, replaced by a commentary from film historian Drew Casper.)

The primary requirement for "The Odd Couple" is to make us laugh, and laugh we do. This second screen teaming of Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau (after "The Fortune Cookie") — and, arguably, Neil Simon's career best — is still a riot, with many classic lines and situations as finicky Felix (Lemmon) moves in with slob Oscar (Matthau). The bonus features have the two stars' sons sharing many amusing stories about their fathers.

Extras: widescreen, audio commentary, featurettes, trailers, photo galleries; eight-page booklets

"The Robe: Special Edition" (Fox, 1953, $19.98). This rereleased DVD boasts a gorgeous new transfer, which gives a visual boost to this historical film, the first picture made in CinemaScope, which set the widescreen standard for Hollywood. Richard Burton became a star (and earned his first Oscar nomination) in this biblical epic that boasts a remarkable cast and sweeping direction. Based on the novel about the effect of Christ's robe on a Roman centurion. (Although the box lists a vintage featurette, "The CinemaScope Story," it's not here. It is, however, apparently on the Blu-ray disc.)

Extras: widescreen, introduction (by Martin Scorsese), audio commentary, featurette, photo/publicity galleries, isolated score (the Blu-ray edition has many more bonus features, $34.98)

"The Plot to Kill Hitler" (Warner, 1990, $19.97). Brad Davis is no Tom Cruise in this OK TV movie based on the same events as Cruise's recent "Valkyrie," as a small band of Nazi officers plot to kill their Fuhrer.

Extras: full frame

"Side Effects" (New Line, 2006; R for language, sex, partial nudity, $19.97). Katherine Heigl is effervescent in this very low-budget comedy-drama, a cautionary tale about the pharmaceutical industry with a romance component. But the script lets her down.

Extras: widescreen, deleted scenes, introduction/audio commentary, featurettes, bloopers

"Afro Ninja: Destiny" (Lightyear, 2008, $19.99). If you saw the goofy "Afro Ninja" YouTube video and wondered if it was really some clumsy guy or actually a put-on, wonder no more. It has led to a feature-length martial-arts comedy starring Mark Hicks, the guy from the video — and the video is included here as part of the plot. The result is a very low-budget farce about a postal worker (writer-director Hicks) who magically becomes the title character and battles bad guys. Marla Gibbs ("The Jeffersons") plays his aunt and Jim Kelly ("Enter the Dragon") does a cameo at the end. Hit and miss but there are some spotty chuckles.

Extras: widescreen
