Andrew Scrivner, owner of Fiddler's Elbow, said he anticipates a good response from his customer base.
"I think they will participate at a high level," Scrivner said. "I know it's tough times, but I am hoping we will hit the $500 level."
Jeff DuBois, an adjunct professor, said the project has energized the young adults and taught them the value of hands-on experience in the fields of advertising and public relations.
The ultimate goal, however, is to effect change and views, especially as they relate to the importance of clean water supplies.
"What better way to feel like you've made a difference," DuBois said. "It's our hope that as we move forward that no one ever, ever looks at a glass of water in the same way. We take it for granted."
How you can help
