'House' hits a hundred

In "Chuck vs. the Third Dimension," reluctant secret agent Chuck (Zachary Levi) foils a plot to kill rock star Tyler Martin (guest star Dominic Monaghan of "Lost"). When Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) start looking into things, they discover it's part of a plot involving international intrigue. And Chuck has one of his flashes, revealing there's nuclear terrorism afoot as well.

It's a very good "Chuck" episode, full of action, adventure and comedy.

As for the whole 3-D thing, it's pretty pointless. You have to wear those red-and-blue glasses, it doesn't work very well, and it actually distracts from the show.

(The only good thing about 3D TV is at least you don't have to be out in public wearing those stupid glasses.)

If this stunt helps bring new viewers to "Chuck," great. If not, it's just a dumb stunt.

HEROES (9 p.m., Ch. 5); also returns from hiatus tonight with the start of a new chapter.

Call me crazy, but I haven't given up on this show yet. Even though I find myself criticizing every episode (sometimes as it airs).

I keep hoping it will return to the great show it was in its first season. That it can recapture the magic.

I know that's not likely, but then there's the example of "Lost." That show was terrible for about a season and a half, then recovered.

Maybe "Heroes" will be able to do the same.

But that's a big maybe.
