PROVO — The Daily Herald of Provo says it will stop publishing classifieds in its Monday and Tuesday print editions immediately.

The Classified Marketplace section will continue to appear in the paper Wednesday through Sunday, the paper's highest readership days.

Classified ads will still be available online.

The paper says its news content on Mondays and Tuesdays will be consolidated into two sections and will continue to include local reporting and regular features.

The paper says the change will reduce the cost of newsprint during the economic downturn.

The Daily Herald is published by Lee Enterprises.
