Baseball academy to open Tuesday

SOUTH SALT LAKE — A new branch of Sandlot Baseball & Fast Pitch Academy will launch Tuesday with a grand opening party beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The enclosed, year-round training venue at 815 W. 2400 South plans to hold a raffle for TVs and other prizes. It also will give short training and batting cage sessions for $20 per athlete.

Part of a national chain, the business offers everything from team instruction to uniforms and video replay.
