Summer-saving time

On Jan. 6, it snowed all day. I got wondering if we couldn't cancel January and February due to lack of enthusiasm on the part of participants. I shoveled snow and thought about municipalities running out of money to clear snow and had an idea. Our politicians have figured out we can save an hour of daylight by simply adjusting our clocks. Why can't we adjust the calendar and save a couple months of summer?

Think about it. We could have snow for "over the river and through the woods." Still more snow for Santa Claus. Then on the first of January we'd turn the calendar to March 1 and be done with winter. If Mother Nature didn't want to cooperate with "summer savings time," we could always get Al Gore to invent a little global warming to bring out the daffodils. Change we can believe in!
