Make voice heard on BCS

In recent years I've heard much complaining about the unfair decision by the BCS regarding who can play for the NCAA football national championship. This complaining has been much more focused now that the University of Utah remains the only unbeaten team in the country and that it beat one of the best teams in the nation in their BCS bowl game.

As usual, on this issue I suspect that we Americans are big on complaining but short on action. I heard on the news yesterday that the Utah Attorney General is looking into a possible lawsuit on the grounds the BCS is acting like a monopoly and that antitrust legislation should be enacted against them. This action could be made a lot more visible and gain much popular support if many of us wrote our national legislators and asked them to back this movement.

So here's our chance, America. If you are opposed to the way the BCS monopolizes the management of the college football bowl games, write your congressman and senator and complain. Who knows? This may be one area where the people still make a difference.
