Suggestions for Utes

I, too, am very disappointed that the University of Utah football team cannot be crowned No. 1 by the NCAA. I have a couple of suggestions:

1) Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. or U. President Michael Young or anybody should award a trophy to the Utes declaring them No. 1 in the nation for having the best record. Just because the fat-cat BCS schools got together and made their own system doesn't mean that anyone else can't do it also.

2) Better than that, why can't our leaders issue a challenge to the winner of the BCS championship game to come play a final deciding game here against the Utes. If they accept, history will be made, and the whole country, even President-elect Barack Obama, would be behind it.

The NCAA can't object because they allowed the BCS schools to do their own thing. If they don't accept the challenge, they will lose face and no one will accept them as national champions, so we still come out ahead. Someone needs to be bold and creative enough to grab this great opportunity that is here now.
