With Jermaine Jenas and Benoit Assou-Ekotto suspended, and Tom Huddlestone and Alan Hutton injured, Hossam Ghaly is likely to be on the substitutes' bench again despite the jeers that greeted him in the team's last match.

Redknapp tried to introduce Ghaly as a late substitute in Friday's 3-1 FA Cup victory over Wigan but changed his mind because of the boos and catcalls from fans still angry that the Egypt midfielder threw his shirt in protest at being taken off in his last match in May 2007.

"It wasn't right that he threw his shirt down but the kid made a mistake and we all make mistakes," Redknapp said. "It's time to forgive and forget."

Burnley defender Stephen Jordan is able to play after missing Saturday's 0-0 FA Cup draw at Queens Park Rangers. However, midfielders Chris McCann and Kevin McDonald are both doubtful because of injury, defender Remco van der Schaaf has a kidney complaint, and defender Steven Caldwell is still suspended after being sent off in a league match on Dec. 28.
