ABC, CW, NBC revamp

Changes. We've got changes. We've got lots and lots of changes.

ABC, The CW and NBC are all revamping their schedules. And some of that revamping looks more like dismantling and rebuilding.

ABC hasn't officially canceled "Dirty Sexy Money," "Eli Stone" and "Pushing Daisies" ... but it's just a matter of semantics. The network has told the producers it won't order any more episodes past the 13 already ordered for each show. And, while ABC president Steve McPherson holds out the possibility of ordering more, don't hold your breath.

He's also promised that all 13 episodes of each show will air. (They might. Stay tuned.)

• As expected, ABC announced that, effective Jan. 8, low-rated "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff "Private Practice" will move to Thursdays at 9 p.m. — right after "Grey's Anatomy."

• "Life on Mars" moves to Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Jan. 28. It will follow "Lost," which, as previously announced, returns with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 8 and 9 p.m. Single episodes will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 28.

• "Scrubs" returns to the air — and moves over from NBC — with a pair of episodes airing at 8 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6.

THE CW's grand experiment — leasing out its Sunday-night schedule to an outside entity (Media Rights Capital) — has collapsed in total failure. "In Harm's Way," "4 Real," "Valentine" and "Easy Money" have all been axed.

Beginning this Sunday (Nov. 30), The CW, is going with a schedule of repeats (including two canceled series from other networks) and theatrical films.

Repeats of current CW series "Everybody Hates Chris" (4 p.m.) and "The Game" (4:30 p.m.) lead things off. Then it's back-to-back repeats of "The Drew Carey Show" (5 and 5:30 p.m.), a sitcom that exited ABC in 2004.

Then it's repeats of "Jericho," the cult show that aired 29 episodes over two seasons on The CW's sister network, CBS.

Movies follow at 7 p.m. First up is "The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course."

The ratings won't be great, but this lineup will certainly be cheap.

NBC is bringing back one series, adding another hour of "Dateline" and adding three new shows.

• The third season of "Friday Night Lights" (which is currently playing out on DirecTV only) begins airing Fridays at 8 p.m. on Jan. 16.

• "Dateline" takes over Fridays at 9 p.m. on Dec. 5.

• "Crusoe," which has struggled on Fridays, is being sent off to Saturdays (to die). It will air Saturdays at 7 p.m. beginning Dec. 6.
