Whittingham will collect both this year, plus more for winning the conference championship and other accolades.

When asked about his future on Monday, Whittingham told the Deseret News he wasn't going to comment on anything job-wise.

"No comment," he added, which will be his response every time a report surfaces.

The Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer both named Whittingham as a candidate for the opening at the University of Washington this week. He reportedly told Seattle radio station KJR that he would be honored to be considered for the vacancy.

However, his focus is on coaching the Utes.

"I'm very happy at Utah," Whittingham said earlier this week.

"I'm just working on getting ready for a bowl game."

The Utes will learn their BCS destination when announcements are made on Dec. 7.

Since co-coaching Utah to a win over Pittsburgh in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl with Meyer, Whittingham has coached the Utes to three more bowl victories (Emerald, Armed Forces and Poinsettia). He's been part of a coaching staff that has led the program to seven consecutive postseason wins.
