"I can't imagine being anywhere else for the final performance than on stage," Winokur said. That's all fine and good, and having seen her in the role, she's outstanding. But I do feel quite sorry for the gal playing Tracy now, Marisa Perry (funny they have the same name!). Wouldn't that be a let-down? I guess you can stop the beat.

Quick Reminder: Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is on NBC at 9 a.m. Thursday. Here are appearances by Broadway folks:

During the first hour of the parade, the cast of "White Christmas" will perform "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm/White Christmas," followed by the gang from "Washington Heights" singing (rapping?) the title song, "In the Heights."

Sailors from "South Pacific" will belt out "There is Nothing Like a Dame," and "Little Mermaid" will round out the first hour with "Under the Sea."

The upcoming revival cast of "Hair" will perform "Aquarius," and then solos from two leading ladies: Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Sitting atop the Care Bears Winter Fun-derland float, Chenoweth will sing "The Christmas Waltz." And from the M&Ms float, Menzel will sing "I Stand," from her solo CD of the same name.
