A former Hill Air Force Base airman accused of shooting a man outside a downtown Salt Lake City nightclub has struck a plea deal with prosecutors.

Court records said that during an appearance Wednesday in 3rd District Court, Daniel Clemons, 20, pleaded guilty to attempted discharge of a firearm, a first-degree felony; and possession of a dangerous weapon, a third-degree felony.

In exchange, criminal charges of robbery and failure to stop for a police officer were dismissed.

Clemons will be sentenced on Dec. 22. He is accused of shooting a man outside Club Manhattan on July 26 during an argument.
