Utah Jazz: It's hard to shut Williams down, or up
Chatting up a storm.
"He was talking the whole time," a laughing Kyle Korver said. "I was like, 'Dude, shut up. I'm trying to focus. Get out of here."'
Williams, who missed the opener with a sprained left ankle, was the bearer of good news for Korver, though. After his TV stint, Williams told the former Philadelphia resident how the World Series ended.
"Deron told me during the game ... 'The Phillies won! The Phillies won!"'
Korver, who became a Philly baseball fan during his 76ers playing days, joked back: "'Dude, I'm playing the game, c'mon.' But obviously I was excited."
They're both looking forward for various reasons, it would seem to get Williams back onto the playing floor. Korver said Williams tried hard and "did everything he could" to get back for the opener. He is aiming for a season debut next Wednesday at home vs. Portland.
"Hopefully, it won't be too much longer," Korver said. "We'd much rather have him on the floor than sitting on the bench trying to joke."
