Students completing the Y.'s program reported a 69 percent salary growth and an annual income of $100,295.

EMBA degrees, which have only been included in the magazine's London-based survey for the past 10 years, have been growing in popularity as well as the number of schools that offer the program to working students. Currently, there are more than 300 programs worldwide.

The U.'s program also was tapped for its substantial faculty research, putting it at 35th in the world. BYU ranked 47th in the same category.

"It's a very positive step to tell our alumni, potential students, our faculty and the community that we've got a really high-quality, international program in Utah," Vierig said, adding that many of the U.'s faculty participate in programs offered through other internationally ranked schools.

The school contributing the most faculty work to publications was the University of Pennsylvania. Complete rankings can be found online at ft.com or in the Monday's issue of Financial Times.
