Valley held Panguitch in the top of the fifth, including a nice deep throw-out from third baseman Kelin Eberly. Eberly then put the Buffalo ahead, 6-5, with a sacrifice fly ball that scored Spencer, who was on after being hit by a pitch.
In the top of the sixth, Valley erased another error with a double play, then pitcher Paul Kesling caught a pop-up for the third out.
Panguitch held Valley scoreless in the bottom of the sixth, then promptly enjoyed its scoring frenzy in the top of the seventh to take the lead and the ballgame, holding the Buffalo in the bottom of the seventh as well.
Valley had kept the game close, holding the Bobcats scoreless four straight innings, behind strong pitching by Kesling, while crossing the plate three times for the 6-5 lead going into the seventh inning.
"Leach's triple down the line caught us off guard," said Valley's catcher Kyle Harris. "We never seemed to get our balance back."
But Harris said his team had been confident they could come back from the 4-0 deficit behind Kesling's pitching.
