Logan police arrest 14-year-old in rash of burglaries
LOGAN — Police arrested a 14-year-old boy Friday who they say is responsible for a recent rash of business burglaries.
The boy is suspected in burglaries at Hastings Books, Music and Video on Sept. 14; Sports Authority on Oct. 2 and the Cache Valley Mall on Oct. 3, according to a statement from the Logan Police Department.
The teen has been cooperating with police, according to the statement, and has provided information leading to the recovery of a shotgun taken from Sports Authority.
The boy has been booked into Cache Detention Center and is being held for investigation of theft of a firearm, a second-degree felony, and multiple counts of burglary, attempted burglary and theft.
