Two men charged in abduction at Salt Lake Wal-Mart
According to charging documents, Andrew Scott Ross, 18, and Lamar Lee Christensen, 23, face charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault both first-degree felonies, stemming from the Sept. 29 incident. The victim told police he was in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 350 West Hope Ave. when Ross, Christensen and another man approached him.
The victim was struck in the head with a can of food. He turned around and charges say Christensen punched him several times. During the scuffle, Christensen held a cocked semi-automatic handgun to the victim's head and said he would kill him if he didn't calm down, according to the charges.
The men forced the victim into his 2007 Ford Focus. The victim said the men told him they attacked him because of allegations of his affair with another man's wife.
The trio dumped the victim near 350 N. 900 West about 30 minutes later, taking his cell phone, keys and wallet, police said.
The victim phoned police, and a South Salt Lake police officer arrested the men a short time later near 4110 S. 570 East.
