UVU offers preparedness classes
The economy stinks, the headlines are filled with news of natural disasters and your whole emergency-preparedness plan consists of a couple dozen cans of spaghetti sauce stashed in the basement.
No worries. Utah Valley University Community Education has you covered. Beginning Oct. 16, the following disaster-coping classes are available to the public:
• Preparedness for the Clueless, Oct. 16, 7-8:30 p.m.
• Water and Sanitation, Oct. 23, 7-8:30 p.m.
• How to Cook When the Lights Go Out, Oct. 30, 7-8:30 p.m.
• How Not to Freeze When the Power Goes Out, Oct. Nov. 6, 7-8:30 p.m.
Classes will be held at American Fork Junior High, 20 W. 1120 North, American Fork. There is a $29 fee per couple per class. Register for all four classes and pay for only three.
