Man is stabbed hours after his golf clubs are stolen
Earlier in the day, the victim discovered his car had been burglarized and his golf clubs stolen, said Salt Lake police spokeswoman Lara Jones. The victim later spotted a juvenile selling his clubs on the street, confronted the teen and got his clubs back, she said.
Just after 11 p.m. Tuesday, the man was in bed when he and his girlfriend heard glass breaking and went out to find the window of their car smashed out, Jones said. Nothing was stolen in that incident.
The victim assumed the same juvenile was responsible for breaking his window and went to look for him. When he returned, he had been stabbed multiple times in the left arm and back, Jones said. The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He was upgraded to stable condition Wednesday afternoon.
Police said Wednesday they have a suspect.
