LAYTON — The Utah Department of Transportation is questioning whether the state's roads are adequately serving cyclists.

During the next few months, UDOT will evaluate roads throughout the state to prioritize potential bicycle improvements.

UDOT will hold a series of public meetings beginning this month to meet with residents and community officials to discuss ways to make towns and roads more bicycle-friendly.

Both future and existing roads will be considered during the study. Improvements could be as simple as adding signs and paint or as extensive as expanding the size of a road.
