Assistant Church Historian Richard E. Turley will participate in an educational seminar sponsored by the Mountain Meadows Monument Foundation on Sept. 12 in Harrison, Ark.

Turley and Barbara Jones Brown will be featured during an afternoon session. Turley and co-authors Ronald W. Walker and Glen M. Leonard recently published a book called "Massacre at Mountain Meadows: An American Tragedy." Turley's current project, scheduled to be published in the coming months, is a 500-page volume of Mountain Meadows Massacre documents and transcriptions of the John D. Lee trials. Brown is the content editor for "Massacre at Mountain Meadows."

The annual meeting will feature the work of other authors, editors and filmmakers.
