Provo police searching for missing autistic woman

PROVO — Police are looking for a 22-year-old woman with diminished mental capacity who has wandered away from home.

Angel Brooke McKinnley, who has severe autism and the mental capacity of a 5-year-old, was last seen at 5:30 a.m. Monday at a convenience store on 1600 W. Center in Provo.

She left her home Sunday night around 10 p.m.

McKinnley walks with a forward-leaning gait, appears impaired and has stiff legs, police said. She was wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and carrying a dark green or black backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately at 801-852-6215 or 801-852-6211.
