Amateurs can get close-up look at sun
Amateur astronomers can take a close-up look at the sun today.
Telescopes with special solar filters will be available free to the public and will allow direct gazing at the center of our solar system. The event is from 9 a.m to 12:30 p.m., weather permitting, at Winchester Park on the Jordan River Parkway, 1200 W. 6400 South.
