Take a tour of towers and stations
Radio dial
A portion of Scott Fybush's Web site is devoted to radio tower and studio tours across the nation, including the Wasatch Front. Log on to www.fybush.com and click on "site of the week archives" to see the Utah portion.
Even if you're not into this behind-the-scenes kind of radio, the photographs are worth viewing.
When radio buffs visited the Wasatch Front area last summer, they found the AM towers for KOVO, KSRR, KOGN, KSVN, KANN, KLO and others.
As far as stations go, they seemed most impressed with KSOP, which they said is among the rarest of breeds these days an independently owned station that is still thriving.
They even checked out local TV station studios as well as radio studios in Park City and Evanston, Wyo.
There's also a "Tower Site Calendar," which sells for $60.
• RADIO HAPPENINGS KUTR (AM-820) now has all-Christian programming. It on-air schedule is available at www.wtru.com.

KRSP is continuing its "103 Days of Summer" contest, with a new Harley as the grand prize.
• TEN YEARS AGO IN SALT LAKE RADIO Tom Barberi on KALL has Utah's longest-running radio show at 27 years. ... Bob Lee's KNRS show broadcasts live from This Is the Place Heritage Park ... KBER celebrates 12 years on the air ... KFAM, AM-700 is sold, loses it easy listening music format and begins to simulcast KODJ.
