MIDVALE — A violent gang member wanted on a felony warrant was arrested as he waited in a fast food drive-through Wednesday night, police say.

Around 7:30 p.m., police followed Ricardo Serna, 32, from a West Valley home and boxed him after he entered a McDonald's drive-through, said Salt Lake Metro Gang Sgt. Mike Schoenfeld.

Serna surrendered peacefully, police said.

Serna was wanted on a first-degree felony warrant for aggravated robbery. He has a history of violence, Schoenfeld said. Court records show Serna has faced drug, assault and aggravated kidnapping charges in the past.
