PRICE — A man was flown to University Hospital in critical condition after crashing head-on with a semitrailer truck on U.S. 6 Tuesday night.

Investigators are looking into whether alcohol played a part in causing the man, whose name and age were not released, to cross the center line and collide with the truck, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeff Nigbur.

The man was taken to a Carbon County hospital and was later flown to Salt Lake City. U.S. 6 was closed for about an hour but was reopened by 8:30 p.m.
